GST collections in September 2025: India’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections touched Rs 1.87 lakh crore in September, an 8.9 percent rise compared to Rs 1.72 lakh crore collected in the same month last year, the finance ministry said on Friday.

So far in 2024, GST mop-up has grown 9.4 percent to Rs 12.74 lakh crore, up from Rs 11.64 lakh crore in the January–October 2023 period. The highest-ever collection came in April this year at Rs 2.10 lakh crore.

The GST Council, headed by the Union Finance Minister and comprising state finance ministers, continues to take key decisions on tax rates and structure.
