Delhi/Hyderabad, Oct. 1 (Maxim News) : The central government has announced a festive season relief for its employees and pensioners. On the eve of Dussehra and Diwali , the Union Cabinet approved a 3 percent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) .

The decision was taken during the cabinet meeting held in Delhi today under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi . With this approval, nearly one crore central government employees and pensioners will directly benefit from the enhanced allowance.
