Pennsylvania lawmakers are taking a look at state ownership of land and how much can be spent per acre on hunting grounds, in particular.
The state House Game & Fisheries Committee on Tuesday voted to support lifting the Pennsylvania Game Commission’s limit of $400 per acre for acquiring land in the state’s most populous counties.
This followed a hearing Thursday before the Senate Game & Fisheries Committee on what one participant called “excessive government land ownership” in Pennsylvania.
