Eiran Cashin suffered a night to forget on his first league start for Birmingham City as they were held to a 2-2 draw by crisis-hit Sheffield Wednesday.

The former Derby County favourite, who is on loan from Brighton, started the Championship clash but endured a tough evening at St Andrew's.

Cashin made a mistake for the Owls' first goal as he attempted to bring a ball under control but it slipped off his shin which allowed Jamal Lowe to fire in an equaliser.

And for the second goal, the defender was beaten at the back post as George Brown put the Owls on course for victory.

However, Demarai Gray popped up with a dramatic equaliser in stoppage time with big-spending Blues currently 12th in the table.
