The Met Office has named the first storm of the year as a yellow weather alert is put in place in the UK over the next four days.
A yellow rain warning is in place in parts of Scotland today (October 1) and tomorrow, with a yellow wind alert taking over for nine areas of the UK on Friday and Saturday.
It appears autumn is truly here with the wind warning currently in place for the 30 hours between Friday evening and Saturday night.
To reflect the storm notice, the Met Office has stated the weather is "likely to lead to disruption during Friday and Saturday."
