Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe was present for the opening of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency facility North St. Louis last week. (" Leaders open new NGA campus amid hopes it will drive economic growth for St. Louis ," Sept 26.) At the ceremony, Kehoe said, “ This is our flag that we put in the ground ” to revitalize the North Side.

A little over a year ago, the state decided to vacate the Wainwright Building and its 200,000 square feet of state office space Downtown — a decision in which then-Lt. Gov. Kehoe was actively involved. (" Editorial: Parson's latest middle-finger salute at St. Louis ," June 11, 2024.)

Moving NGA within the city has no net effect on jobs. Moving state employees away does.
