A flight has been held at Brussels Airport after a bomb threat caused passengers to be evacuated from the plane .

The flight was scheduled to depart from Zaventem to Berlin at around 9:30am before the airport received an alert from federal police that there was a "potential threat" on board. "The aircraft was scheduled to operate a flight to Berlin for Brussels Airlines," said Brussels Airlines spokesperson Nico Cardone. Following the warning, it was guided to a safe location on the tarmac, and all passengers and crew were evacuated. Officers have now launched an investigation into the matter, as well as a thorough search of the plane.
