STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A woman pedestrian died after she was struck by a vehicle in Charleston early during the Wednesday morning rush hour.

Authorities responded to the crash at 6:05 a.m. near Veterans Road East and Bloomingdale Road, according to a spokesperson for the FDNY and EMS.
