NORTH PROVIDENCE – It’s officially spooky season at 32 Benjamin Drive.
Known for his larger-than-life, handmade Halloween displays, Steven Simoneau has again transformed his yard into a scene from pop culture, this year drawing inspiration from Tim Burton’s 1988 classic “Beetlejuice.”
What began as a way to bond with his daughters and make Halloween special for neighborhood trick-or-treaters has grown into what visitors call a must-see attraction, something he said lovers of pop culture and Halloween now look forward to.
In 2023, his “Stranger Things” display with Upside Down theme attracted visitors with a Demogorgon, a levitating Max Mayfield, Joyce Byers’ glowing alphabet wall, and a monstrous spider sprawling across the house. Simoneau’s handmade props and characters drew crowds fr
