PAWTUCKET – Director of Commerce Jason Pezzullo has assured representatives from departing toy company Hasbro that the city will help facilitate a smooth transition, but he’s also asking for the same in return.

Pezzullo, in a Sept. 23 letter to Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks, thanked the company for their long partnership and contributions to the local community.

“Your company has played a vital role in Pawtucket’s history and economy, and we acknowledge the significant contributions you have made to our city and its residents,” he wrote on Sept. 23.

His words seemingly hinted at some frustration over the company’s general lack of cooperation.
