MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WBAY) - A new Marquette Law School survey shows a large majority of people seem resigned to political violence.

The survey was conducted after the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

In the survey, 89% of people said political violence is never justified.

38% said it’s a very big problem, and another 38% said it’s a moderately big problem.

More than a quarter of respondents (27%) said left-wing violence is a bigger problem, compared to 22% who said it’s right-wing violence. Half (51%) say both are equally a problem.

58% also said it’s unacceptable to be happy about the death of someone they oppose.
