Joy Fielding’s latest antagonist may have a secret, but the author is an open book.

The bestselling writer of “Jenny Cooper Has a Secret” will be at the Brant Sports Complex on Oct. 26 for a conversation, light refreshments and a book signing hosted by the County of Brant Public Library.

In advance, Fielding, 80, told The Hamilton Spectator about some of her inspirations — and even shared a playful memory of sharing a kiss with Elvis Presley after a Vegas show.

But the stories she’s most eager to share are the ones she puts on the page.
