On September 30, 2025 , at 12:24 a.m., police were on patrol on Main Street West in Huntsville, where they observed a pick-up truck driving erratically and well below the posted speed limit.

Once the vehicle was stopped as part of a sobriety traffic stop, police say they detected an odour of alcohol and suspected the driver had alcohol in his body. The driver provided a roadside alcohol screening sample and registered a Fail.

As a result of the investigation, Mitchel YEARLY, 25 years old of Huntsville Ontario, has been charged with:

· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

· Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

· Driver – fail to properly wear seat belt

The accused was released and is to appear on November 4, 2025 before the Ontario Court of
