1. The annual North Heights Porchfest will be held Saturday and will feature 54 bands, in the neighborhood of historic homes near downtown Joplin. The band list represents a variety of genres and local musicians. These include several bands that have played at the fest since the beginning, including Higher Ed, JHS Strolling Strings, Dr. G and the Tall Man, The Sea Hollies, and the Gutter Divas. This year the festival will feature a Mega Block at the 500 block of North Moffet Avenue, where the artist booths will be located, food trucks are adjacent and live music is played every hour. Food trucks start serving at 11 a.m. that day, and the music starts at noon and runs until 7 p.m. The event is free.

2. The 57th annual Neosho Fall Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday in
