CLEVELAND — What a beautiful September in Cleveland ! Lots of sunshine and lovely skies to enjoy. That does mean rain has been minimal for most and drought persists. Temperatures have been a little wonky at times, but the second half of the month was very enjoyable.

The first part of the month almost felt like a plunge into Fall. Through the first eight days of the month, temperatures were running 8 degrees below average for Cleveland Hopkins. That included some highs only in the 60s and some lows in the 40s.

Things really turned around for the rest of the month, with seven days topping out in the 80s. Highs were at or above average each day. The 21st was the warmest day of the month for the airport, with a high of 87°.
