GREEN BAY — As Jordan Love made his way to the visitors’ sideline at AT&T Stadium last Sunday night, his head coach was waiting for him.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback’s final pass had just fallen incomplete in the end zone. And the game clock — somehow, some way — still showed 0:01. And the look on Matt LaFleur’s face said it all.

It wasn’t anger, it wasn’t frustration, it wasn’t exasperation.

It was disbelief. And, perhaps, shock.

That one remaining tick — available to the Packers only because Love’s throw doinked off the back of linebacker Jack Sanborn instead of sailing through the end zone to use up the final milliseconds — left just enough time for kicker Brandon McManus to trot onto the field and boot a 34-yard field goal to forge a 40-40 tie with the Dallas Cowboys.
