A Silver Alert issued for a 71-year-old man who was last seen in Reseda was deactivated Wednesday after the man was found.

John Walker was last seen at approximately 10 a.m. Tuesday at Canby Avenue and Wyandotte Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.

The CHP reported Walker was located around 5 a.m. Wednesday. There were no further details.

The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
