Stock Market Holiday : Is the stock market closed on October 2? The Indian stock market will be closed on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra. There will not be any trading in the equity, equity derivative, and SLB segments on October 2, as per the 2025 stock market holiday schedule on the official websites of BSE and NSE. However, trading in currency and interest rate derivatives segments will continue as usual.

The market will have its normal trading sessions on Friday, October 3.
