GREENSBORO, N.C. — The North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners determined that no dental procedures were performed before the medical emergency that resulted in the death of a 2-year-old.
You may remember back in July when 2-year-old Er'Mias Mitchell died after going to Valleygate Dental Surgery Center in Greensboro to get caps put on his teeth.
According to the board, dental procedures were not performed on the toddler prior to his death. They also determined no dentist or dental personnel gave him anesthesia or sedation, and were instead administered by "other licensed medical providers."
