INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis teen was preliminarily charged after he allegedly robbed a woman at gunpoint for her vehicle.
Steven Baker III, 19, was preliminarily charged with armed robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon.
Officers were dispatched on Tuesday around 11 p.m. to the 3200 block of North Central Avenue on a report of an armed carjacking. A woman told police that she had been held at gunpoint and robbed of her vehicle keys.
Within two hours police responded to a crash involving the stolen vehicle near the intersection of E. 16th Street and Alabama Street. Authorities located and detained Baker nearby.
