FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. – A fire broke out near Oak Crest and Taylor Flats just after Franklin County deputies received a call about fireworks in the area.
The fire was burning in a field north of Oak Crest and east of Taylor Flats. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said that quick action from firefighters contained the fire quickly.
No people, structures, livestock or crops were harmed, added the county.
The sheriff’s office sent out a reminder that fireworks are not legal in Franklin County.
“ While they may be fun, they can pose serious risks to our community and land,” they wrote.
