CLEVELAND (WJW) -- A crash that caused a diesel spill has closed a portion of Interstate 90 East, just hours before the Cleveland Guardians' playoff game at Progressive Field.

Cleveland Division of Fire announced just after 10:30 a.m. that the highway is closed at the Carnegie Avenue exit for a vehicle accident involving a diesel spill. I-90 East is open after Superior Avenue, according to firefighters.

Motorists on that portion of I-90 are being told to expect an about 40-minute delay, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Motorists in the area just before 11 a.m. were seen being directed off the highway via the exit.

All lanes are also blocked on Interstate 77 North at East 22nd Street/East 14th Street, according to ODOT, though it's unclear if this location was involve
