MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A local man is accused of robbing another man on Tuesday at a local business, according to the Mobile Police Department.

According to an MPD news release, officers were called to the Winn-Dixie at 5440 Highway 90 at about 8:10 a.m. that day in reference to a robbery.

INCIDENT LOCATION:

When officers arrived, a man told them that a man he knew had taken his backpack by force, according to the release.

He said that when he struggled to keep his backpack, the other person assaulted him before running away.

The victim received minor, non-life-threatening injuries and refused medical attention, according to the release.

LaBarron Young, 37, of Mobile, was arrested and charged with third-degree robbery.
