CONECUH COUNTY, Ala. (WKRG) — A Conecuh County man has been indicted on gun charges, according to Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall.

22-year-old Jalen Demetrius Rodgers of Repton was indicted on two counts of possession of machine gun conversion devices.

Officials said Rodgers had these devices to possibly sell as a way to convert pistols into machine guns to benefit a criminal enterprise, according to a news release from Marshall's office.

Rodgers allegedly had a fully automatic machine gun to "protect his trade."

“Gangs and Glock switches are causing mayhem in our communities, and today’s indictment removes a supplier for these deadly devices," Marshall said.
