A grandmother who married a man from Morocco after meeting him on Facebook has shared her woes after revealing he has been denied a UK visa twice.

Karen Aghzzaf, 70, is married to husband, Brahim, a man 24 years her junior who she met online back in 2015.

The woman said she "instantly hit it off" with her partner on Facebook over a decade ago, despite the man living over 2,000 miles away in Khemisset, Morocco.

Karen, who is a mum-of-two and a grandmother-of-three, admitted the people around her originally had their doubts about their relationship, thinking he was with her "for money or citizenship," because of how wide their age gap was.
