DALLAS, Texas — A second detainee wounded in last week’s shooting at a Dallas ICE facility has died.
Family members confirm 32-year-old Miguel Ángel García-Hernández had been on life support for nearly a week before succumbing to his injuries early Tuesday. The attack also claimed the life of 37-year-old Norlan Guzmán-Fuentes.
García-Hernández was the primary breadwinner for his family. He leaves behind four children, with a fifth expected soon. His wife, Stephany Gauffeny, told WFAA on Saturday that she believed the attack should never have happened.
“Definitely shouldn't have happened under their custody,” Gauffeny said.
