AMES, Iowa (KCRG) - Governor Kim Reynolds and Iowa’s entire congressional delegation are calling on the U.S. Department of Agriculture to relocate Agricultural Research Service projects to Ames as part of the USDA’s reorganization plan.
The group says Ames is already home to one of the largest concentration of USDA facilities and employees outside of Washington, D.C.
In a letter to USDA Secretary Brooke Rollins, the lawmakers said farmers and families nationwide would benefit from the move.
