Ahead of UFC 320, Dricus Du Plessis has openly backed Alex Pereira to beat Magomed Ankalaev in their October 4 rematch. He feels Ankalaev’s plan to strike with Pereira is risky and doesn’t expect the fight to last long. Pereira has now shown his appreciation for the former middleweight champion’s support.

Pereira showed some real appreciation for Du Plessis after the South African picked him to beat Magomed Ankalaev. The Brazilian star (12-3-0) made it clear he was grateful for the support, calling Du Plessis a significant figure in MMA who’s accomplished plenty in the sport.
