SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV)-- Police are investigating a stabbing last night in the southside of Syracuse.

Syracuse Police were called to University Hospital after a stabbing victim arrived there around 12:34 a.m. on Oct. 1.

When officers got there, they found a 46-year-old man being treated for a stab wound to the groin. He is expected to survive.

The incident is believed to have happened in the 300 block of West Matson Avenue. This investigation remains active and ongoing.
