A Trenton resident has a new car and the Belleville General Hospital Foundation has more than $300,000 to support regional cancer care after the charity’s sold-out Car4Cancer lottery.

Foundation officials on Tuesday drew the names of two winners in the latest lottery.

Randy Whaley of Trenton won the grand prize: a Mustang GT Premium convertible.

Mary Boisvenue of Millgrove, Ont., won more than $33,000 from the lottery’s 50/50 draw.

Tickets sold out five days before the draw – the first sellout since the lotteries began.

More than 19,000 were sold, raising more than $303,000 for cancer care of people from across Quinte Health’s service area, the foundation reported. Funds will support the hospital’s Dr. Douglas A. Macintosh Oncology Clinic.
