ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The Saint Louis Zoo has welcomed a Komodo dragon as its newest resident.

Six-year-old Charlie is the first resident of the Zoo’s new Komodo dragon habitat at the Charles H. Hoessle Herpetarium. He is the first of the species to live at the Zoo in more than 12 years.

Charlie came to the Zoo from the Bronx Zoo. He will make his public debut between 5 and 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 16-19 as part of Boo at the Zoo. Beginning on Monday, Oct. 20, he will be seen during regular hours and at Boo at the Zoo.
