After a nationwide search, the Palm Springs Art Museum has found its next director close to home.
Christine Vendredi, who had been the interim executive director since Adam Lerner stepped down earlier this year , has been appointed to the top spot by the museum's Board of Trustees.
“I am honored to be leading such a unique institution that champions architecture, design, and the visual arts as essential parts of everyday life in the Coachella Valley and beyond,” Vendredi said in a news release. “I look forward to partnering with the staff, board, and community to ensure Palm Springs Art Museum remains a relevant and meaningful space for those seeking a retreat, a place to learn, or simply a moment of beauty and inspiration.”
