Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker will not be returning as the team’s manager in 2026, per multiple reports. Snitker, whose contract had expired at the end of the season, reportedly informed the team yesterday of his decision not to return.

Snitker, who turns 70 this month, took over the Braves a little ways into the 2016 season. After a 72 win season in 2017, the Braves won the National League East each of the next six years, and the team made the playoffs each season from 2018-24, never finishing with fewer than 88 wins over a full (non-pandemic) season. The Braves won the World Series in 2021 and made it to the NLCS in 2020, but in their other five playoff seasons under Snitker, they didn’t make it past the divisional series.
