YORK, S.C. (WBTV) - Eleven people were arrested in a two-month-long child exploitation investigation, York County deputies announced.
The arrests were announced during a press conference hosted by the York County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
The investigations, known as “Operation Huntsman,” started in August and involved local and state law enforcement. North and South Carolina residents between 18 and 60 years old were arrested.

The accused met children through the internet and various apps, deputies said. Each of them met at an undercover location under the guise of meeting with children between 10 and 16 years old for sexual activity.
Deputies said more offenders were being identified.
