AKRON, Ohio — The $485 million sale of Akron -based Summa Health to General Catalyst subsidiary Health Assurance Transformation LLC (HATCo) is now complete.
In a joint release issued on Wednesday, Summa Health and HATCo said the completion of their transaction marks "the start of a long-term partnership to deliver a more proactive, accessible and affordable system of community-based, lifelong healthcare."
With the sale completed, Summa Health now becomes a for-profit organization.
