PERRY, Fla. (WCTV) - Last week, a grand jury returned a lesser charge for an 18-year-old Perry man who was arrested in connection to a deadly shooting at Perrytown Apartments in August .

Jaquez Price was initially arrested and charged with murder and attempted murder in the shooting that left two teens dead and two others injured, court records show.

However, since then, a grand jury has returned a reduced charge of manslaughter. Price now faces a charge of burglary/assault as well as manslaughter.

His next court appearance on October 7 is expected to be an arraignment.

Just a couple of days after the shooting occurred in August, Perry Police Chief Jamie Cruse said Price was being treated in Tallahassee for injuries and was at the Leon County Jail.
