TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - Wednesday morning, the Tallahassee City Commission held a public hearing to discuss the city’s only nonprofit hospital.
The public hearing is one of two critical meetings scheduled for commissioners to consider selling the state capital’s only nonprofit hospital, Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare.

Wednesday’s meeting comes just two weeks after the university and hospital reached an agreement to create an academic health center and transition TMH’s brand to “FSU Health.”
TMH and Florida State University are asking the City of Tallahassee to “transfer” ownership of the hospital to FSU. TMH would continue to run day-to-day operations.
