The Icemen travelled to Confederation Arena last Wednesday to take on the Edmonton Royals in a tough match that saw the Icemen score the extra goal to give them a 6-5 win over their hosts. Article content Article content
“Wednesday was a pretty typical Wednesday game for a group of guys used to playing Fridays and Sundays,” said Icemen head coach Marc Gagnon. “But we found a way to win.”
Jaxon Lee and Josh Gagnon opened the scoring with a pair in the first period to put the Icemen up 2-0 heading into the second.
“We got off to a 2-0 start, then took the whole second period off,” said Gagnon.
