Jerry Lamport, a Crediton native who played for the Beefeaters from 1989 to 1991, was inducted as part of the club’s 50 th season celebrations. His final season as starting quarterback in 1991 saw him throw more than 1,676 yards and 14 touchdowns. Article content

Lamport’s career quarterback rating of 105.5 remains the Beefeaters’ all-time record.

“Thank you to the Beefeaters executive for this unexpected and rather generous honour,” said Lamport.
