A former Rugby Borough Council worker who sexually assaulted a teenage girl has been jailed. Paul Badley inappropriately kissed the young victim and has now been brought to justice.

In June 2023, Badley, 58, had been employed on a temporary basis by Rugby Borough Council . Through his job, he met an 18-year-old girl, he kissed her, then lifted her top up and kissed her on the chest, a jury heard.

She reported the incident shortly after it happened, and an investigation was launched. Badley was identified two days later and arrested.

Badley was immediately sacked from his job at Rugby Borough Council . He was subsequently charged with two counts of sexual assault and found unanimously guilty by a jury following a four-day trial in August.
