BEDFORD – A Bedford woman with a prior conviction for intoxicated driving was arrested early Sunday morning after she was observed failing to maintain her lane and driving with non-functioning license plate lights.

At approximately 2:10 a.m. on September 28, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Martin observed a white Chevy Malibu turning onto State Road 37 North from Pump House Road with inoperable license plate lights. As the deputy followed the vehicle, he noted the car was unable to maintain its lane of travel.

Deputy Martin initiated a traffic stop, and the driver continued into the McDonald’s parking lot at 3302 16th Street before coming to a stop.
