MINNEAPOLIS — One woman was killed and six other people were injured by gunfire at a Minneapolis homeless encampment in late September.

A legal clash is now playing out in the city between Minneapolis city leadership and Hamoudi Sabri , the private property owner who allowed unhoused people to camp on his parking lot. A judge has granted a temporary restraining order on Sabri, prohibiting him from letting people back on his property until further orders from the court.

The encampment was cleared, and the people who once resided there were nowhere to be seen the day after. Experts told KARE 11 that the real story could be playing out behind the scenes.
