OGDENSBURG, N.Y. (WWTI) - Portions of the City of Ogdensburg are under a boil water advisory.

The advisory affects homes on the 900 block of Paterson St, 900 block East David St. and 1001 Paterson St.

The advisory is due to water valve installation near the intersection of Paterson St & East David St.

City officials said there is little or no water pressure, and that increases the chance that untreated water and harmful microbes can enter your water.

The city said to bring tap water to a rolling boil, boil for one minute, and cool before using.

Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth, and preparing food until further notice.
