The Steelers are checking out a potential addition to their secondary, with KPRC2’s Aaron Wilson reporting Wednesday that the team is working out safety Mark Perry.
The news comes a day after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers poached rookie safety Sebastian Castro off the Pittsburgh practice squad. As a result, the Steelers have an open spot and could be looking to fill it with another safety.
Perry went undrafted in 2024 out of TCU, signing with the Miami Dolphins. Since then, he’s had stints with the Houston Texans, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, and Chicago Bears. However, he’s yet to appear in an NFL regular season game.
In his last season at TCU, Perry logged 58 total tackles and four pass defensed. All three of his college interceptions came in his 2021 season with Colorado. The 6
