MASON CITY, Iowa — Mason City will celebrate a significant milestone with a groundbreaking ceremony on October 16 for the first new downtown hotel in over 100 years. The event will take place at 11:30 a.m. at 214 S. Delaware Avenue in the Riverwalk District. The 88-room Home2 Suites by Hilton, managed by Kinseth Hospitality Companies, is part of the River City Renaissance initiative and will be connected to Music Man Square via the city's first skywalk.
