BILLINGS − Rocky Mountain College's volleyball team picked up its first victory of the season after an 0-13 start by defeating Montana State University Billings 21-25, 21-25, 25-17, 25-17, 15-12 in a Rimrock Rivalry matchup on Tuesday at the Yellowjackets' Alterowitz Gymnasium.

The Battlin’ Bears (1-13) almost took the first two sets, tying the first set at 18-all after an Olivia Fauth kill and leading the second frame 21-20 after trailing 17-14. The Yellowjackets (1-8), however, closed out the sets, going on a 7-3 run with four kills to win the first set and a 5-0 run to claim the second frame.

But Rocky closed out the match over the next three sets.
