Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will begin tracking data of workers to enforce the government’s return-to-office mandate. Article content
IRCC confirmed with the Ottawa Citizen that the department will begin its “on-site attendance monitoring program” starting on Oct.1. Article content Article content
The pilot, which will measure compliance with return-to-office rules , is set to run from Oct. 1 to Nov. 30 with formal reporting beginning in January 2026.
Department spokesperson Remi Lariviere said that the pilot program will “ensure transparency and consistency in how on-site attendance is tracked.”
