Excellent news if you’re contemplating an apartment glow-up: IKEA is expanding its NYC footprint and making its way into Soho .

Though we’d never discourage a trip to its massive storefront in the glorious Brooklyn neighborhood of Red Hook , a downtown locale might feel more centralized when you need to grab pieces in a pinch (or fancy a few Swedish meatballs).

The Ingka Group , which is the biggest global IKEA retailer, snagged the spot for a cool, and it’s in the former locale of the Nike Store.

“This marks Ingka Investments’ fourth acquisition of prime commercial real estate to support IKEA’s growth in the world’s leading cities,” Peter van der Poel , Managing Director of Ingka Investments said in a statement.
