From donuts to drinks and everything in between, Longmont is serving up 10 days of reasons to let home kitchens take the week off.

Longmont Restaurant Week kicks off on Friday, runs through Oct. 12, and is corralling about 40 restaurants, breweries, food trucks and even a Hawaiian donut stand into one giant excuse to eat your way across town. Organized by a small team of local food lovers and led by founder Jennifer Ferguson “], the event aims to show off Longmont’s food scene in all its forms — from fine dining to casual comfort, late-night cocktails to mid-meal snacks and everything in between.

Ferguson and her team expanded the format this year with extra events built to draw diners together, from tastings and parties to chef demos.
