The Ontario Provincial Police arrested and charged two people after conducting a traffic stop.
Members from the Nipissing West Detachment of the OPP, conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on Queen Street in West Nipissing Monday around 12:05 p.m.

The driver was arrested for being a suspended driver, while the passenger of the vehicle was arrested for damaging the vehicle.
The registered owner of the vehicle advised police that the vehicle was taken without their consent.
As a result of the investigation, the driver, Andre Fournier, 49, from West Nipissing was charged operation while prohibited under the Criminal Code, take motor vehicle without consent, driving while under suspension and driver – fail to properly wear seat belt.
